The 15th EBS International Documentary Festival (EIDF 2018)
The Festival has been established to promote the world’s best documentaries through a week-long programming of documentaries via EBS-TV, Korea’s representative public educational channel, on-line /mobile VOD Service and screening in theaters. It seeks to provide an opportunity for the documentaries to communicate with their audience as well as to encourage young documentary filmmakers all around the world to produce new works.
EIDF 2018 (EBS International Documentary film Festival 2018) is presented by Korea Educational Broadcasting System.
04. Program Selection
The selection committee of EIDF will review all films entered into EIDF 2018 based on the regulations of Korean Broadcasting Committee and the EBS censorship guide.
Total of four awards for EIDF Competition Section will be given by the International Jury and the General Audience.
A. Grand Prix with USD 10,000
B. Spirit Award with USD 7,000
C. Special Jury Award with USD 5,000
D. Audience Award with USD 3,000
Above monetary awards will be subject to appropriate taxes. Also, prize giving details and prize money can be partly adjusted depending on the situations of EIDF 2018
EIDF accepts entries of non-fiction film or video works only, which were produced after January 2017. Any length is acceptable, but length of over 30 minutes will be well considered. Works entered in EIDF should not have been released commercially, or broadcasted in South Korea.
Anyone who wishes to submit a film should submit it through mail to the address posted below or should submit it directly to EIDF office.

Selected work will be screened in the theaters assigned by EIDF office and broadcasted through EBS-TV within the territory of Korea. And On-line/mobile VOD service also will be provided through EIDF web site. It will be compensated by EBS’s licensing fee.
9. General Regulations
To enter a work to be featured in the Festival implies acceptance of these regulations by the producers or their legally authorized agents.
*EIDF Organizing Committee has the right to rule on all cases not foreseen by these regulations.
